Overview

Cloud is a streetwear label founded by Abdulahi Bello, and it needed a mark that felt technical and capable while staying approachable, working just as well as a 16px favicon as it would on a billboard. The brief was explicit: combine the cloud symbol with the letter C into one distinctive, versatile mark, then build the full identity system around it, stationery, invoices, and packaging included.

Brand identity for a streetwear label founded by Abdulahi Bello, a continuous-line cloud-and-C monogram built to work at favicon size and on a billboard with equal clarity.

00//THE CHALLENGE

The Challenge

A review of 30+ cloud and tech brands found most of them reaching for generic cloud icons or abstract shapes with no letterform tied to the name at all. The direction that won folded both meanings into a single mark, cloud and C at once, landing with more recall than either symbol could manage on its own.

Business Cards

A black-and-white primary palette applied to stationery, chosen for how well it would carry across every application the brand would eventually need.

03

Packaging

The monogram carried over onto parcel bags in the brand's yellow accent, with the same minimal construction grid running underneath it all.

05//OUTCOME

Outcome

The identity launched across every touchpoint and became instantly associated with the brand within the Nigerian tech and streetwear scene, with the business cards singled out as among the most professional seen at Lagos tech events. The continuous-line construction gave the brand a narrative it could point back to: engineered without compromise, the same promise the garments themselves made.

06//LEARNINGS

What We Learned

01

Monochrome identities age slower than trend-driven color palettes do. The mark looks as current today as it did at launch.

02

A construction narrative, where every curve has a reason behind it, gives a minimal mark a staying power that decoration alone can't provide.
